In celebration of FACETS’s 10^th anniversary, we invite researchers, scholars, and practitioners to contribute to a commemorative collection focused on the theme: Opportunities and challenges in Canadian research.

For 10 years, FACETS has been at the forefront of publishing open access research that has had a direct impact on society and the Canadian research landscape. This collection aims to reflect on opportunities to improve Canada’s research landscape, analyze current challenges for researchers, and envision the future direction of open science.

We welcome submissions across a range of topics, including but not limited to:

• Funding and grants
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
• Infrastructures and resources
• EDIA in science
• Open science
• Knowledge translation
• Global pressures
• Opportunities for integrating Indigenous knowledge systems with Western scientific frameworks

This collection is currently open. The submission deadline is December 31, 2025. To have your article considered for this collection, at step 3 of the submission process in ScholarOne, specify that your manuscript is intended for the Opportunities and challenges in Canadian research collection.
